About the Job

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a developer with a passion for creating tools and website from scratch. You will be responsible for:

- A marketing website focused on property owners (now WP, looking for react-static)

- A dashboard for our property owners to understand how we are looking after their properties and making them money (current dashboard is not enough, will be written from scratch)

- A booking platform where you can book cleaning services, or someone to meet your guests (will be written from scratch)

- A tool to price all of our properties, and list across multiple booking sites (airbnb, booking.com, homeaway etc), used by our team of pricing experts

- A tool to algorithmically optimise the schedule of our field staff, so that they can move around the city in the most efficient way, used by our operations team

- Backend systems to manage all of our bookings, properties, guests etc from the office

... and even more are planned.

Who You Are

- Have at least 2+ years' on-the-job experience in Full Stack / Front End / Back End Engineer role

- BSc/BA or MSc/MA in a top tier university

- Passionate about start-up culture and innovative ideas

- Creativity and confidence to try and test new ideas

- Keen and fast learner with strong analytical skills you have experience solving problems under pressure!

- Good command of written and spoken English

About the job

Missafir Operations team is the brains behind all of our on the ground operations that provide a five-star experience for our guests. From coordinating our housekeeping and linen changing services, leasing with external suppliers, to providing accessibility to the home, the day to day operations are the crucial element of our business. This role will lead initiatives across our regions to optimise, innovate and streamline our services while maintaining the highest quality our hosts and guests love us for.

- Lead the initiatives to drive operational excellence with data and insights

- Identify business risks, tactical fixes and improvement opportunities as the business scales

- Define, implement and optimise local operational processes and procedures and share performance reports with the team so we stay on top of our KPIs

- Ensure the fulfilment of core services such as cleaning, linen delivery and guest check-in are consistently achieving targets

- Build and manage the team to ensure we always have the right number of people to serve our internal customers

- Support business expansion by setting up processes and developing relationships with local service providers in new markets

- Last, we’re small and committed team, so you can expect to get your hands dirty every so often and help answer enquiries when things get very hectic!

Who you are

- Have at least 2 years of experience in an operational management or management role

- Have a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or other analytical subjects in a top tier university

- People management experience is essential including hiring, training and leadership

- Data-driven analytical mindset (great Excel or tools skills)

- Have a keen eye for details

- Self-starter with a can-do attitude. You bring creative problem-solving skills to the table

- Creativity and confidence to try and test new ideas

- Amazing negotiation and communication skills

- A hustler, not stopping after 20 obstacles a day

- Passionate about new technologies and hospitality
